In this project, I created the complete visual identity design for an animal portrait photographer. My primary goal was to design and create a brand that represented the fundamental values that inspire their creativity as well as the unique soul of their work.
My responsibilities ranged from the initial exploration of concepts to the final realization of a cohesive and distinctive visual identity. Collaborating closely with the client, I worked on creating an icon that became a hallmark of the brand: a dog with a feathered hat, reminiscent of the character D’Artagnan, encapsulating the adventurous and playful spirit that characterizes it.
The challenge was fusing the artist’s love of animals with the unique visual language to express love, joy, art, and energy in each piece. I achieved this by choosing fonts and colors that best represent the brand’s ideals.
– The primary colors for the visual identity were mustard and blue, expressing warmth and vitality, while the secondary colors, suede, cream, and raw tones, balanced and softened the palette.
– Marko One was the typography chosen for the logo, as it gives a feeling of energy and uniqueness that reflects the distinctive quality of the artist’s creations, and Raleway for the texts, because it is a legible type that matches the brand’s overall aesthetic.
My objective was to create a personal connection with the target audience by using design to communicate emotions of love and respect for animals. We created a unique and memorable brand that accurately captures the enthusiasm and skill of the talented photographer through a rigorous design strategy and tight client engagement.
